"DMX ALLEGEDLY HOSPITALIZED"

The New York Daily News reports that DMX was hospitalized on Thursday after the rapper passed out at Sony Recording Studios. Reporters George Rush and Jenna Molloy cite an unnamed source and also report that representatives from DMX's camp have yet to return any calls on the matter.

The incident marks an unfortunate ending to what has been an up and down year for DMX whose real name is Earl Simmons earlier this week DMX signed a deal with Canadian online gaming company company Bodog Entertainment after being released from the three album deal he signed with Sony in January of 2006 (continue). Both Sony and DMX hoped the deal would produce the results that the artist found at Def Jam, where his first five albums sold at least 1 million each debuted at number one on

The Billboard 200 chart. At press time, the lone recording with Sony, Year of the Dog...Again, has sold 329,000 copies according to Nielsen SoundScan.(continue)
